Apart from the description, AbstractResolvedEntity.DeclaringType demonstrates the bug. For somewhat added completeness, this is the implementation of that property:

public virtual IType DeclaringType {
    get { return parentContext.CurrentTypeDefinition ?? (IType)SpecialType.UnknownType; }
