When running umtx2 through the autoloader (inside the wrapper iframe), the PS5 browser sometimes throws an "out of memory" popup before finishing (sometimes before elfldr is launched, sometimes after).

Currently, resetting the iframe to about:blank on completion helps a lot, but it still occasionally pops up.

Possibly related note:

  • Loading the latest version of elfldr causes that out-of-memory popup before it even loads. That's why umtx2 currently uses its bundled elfldr (v0.21) instead of the shared elfldr build.

@Constantine-HD
that's included in the latest pre-release build: https://github.com/itsPLK/ps5-webkit-autoloader/releases/tag/v0.3.1-pre-3e9b02d

There's a recurring issue of memory running out, freezing, and frequent failures in version 5.50. I wish a slight delay could be added upon entry; this would help it take its time and complete the jailbreak correctly. Adding a small delay is important.

4.50 system. I also every time get out of memory message. If i click on that "out of memory" message in a few seconds after it appeared i get kernel panic. If i wait a little and then click on message it will succeed. But now it got worse. I will get "out of memory" message every time I load webkit loader and after i click on it that message will reaper aggain and again. Sometime i will get notification about elf bootstrap something like that. So i can't jailbreak with autoloader anymore.

Additional reproduction on FW 4.51

I can reproduce the out-of-memory/degradation behavior on PS5 FW 4.51.

A fresh PLK installation initially works normally. After repeated launches/reboots, I start seeing the "not enough free system memory" warning. After that, Payload Manager becomes progressively slower to load, sometimes taking tens of seconds, and after further restarts the PS5 eventually hard-crashes and powers off.

Reinstalling PLK restores normal behavior temporarily. Clearing the browser cache does not restore the original behavior.

An additional observation: after a PLK failure/crash, subsequent jailbreak attempts using an independent ESP32/vanilla UMTX2 host also fail on my FW 4.51 console until the PS5 is fully rebooted.

For comparison, vanilla UMTX2 from PC on the same console has not shown the same progressive degradation so far. A JoNi ESP32-S3 UMTX2 host without etaHEN has also been stable so far.

I am not claiming a root cause here; this is just the behavior I can reproduce on FW 4.51. It may be firmware-specific.

I can provide additional reproduction details if useful.

@najdek

https://github.com/robin2kk/Goldengames-PS5-Autoloader

Its based on ur autoloader:
Automatic two-stage jailbreak flow designed to avoid the PS5 WebKit out-of-memory warning.

Maybe this help for fix this problem
