Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
A function
pio_sm_set_consecutive_pins(), complementary topio_sm_set_consecutive_pindirs(), would allow to (re-)initialize some pins to0(or all-ones) without having to resort topio_sm_set_pins_with_mask64()and having to calculate a mask first. It would use acountparameter like used forpio_sm_set_*_pins(),sm_config_set_*_pin_count()orsm_config_set_*_pins()already.It could probably be implemented by passing an additional parameter with
pio_pinsorpio_pindirsto a renamedpio_sm_set_consecutive_pindirs()with two wrappers.I guess you're suggesting something like:
(note: this is entirely untested, and may or may not work!)
Right. Perhaps even
or just
with the 2 wrappers as
static inlinein the header file (set_instrwill likely be optimized to a constant).
