Describe the bug
Steam Overlay doesn't work on Desktop

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open via Steam
  2. attempt to open Steam Overlay or use rebound controls from Steam

Expected behavior
Overlay should open, touch menus should show, and rebound inputs should work

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Ubuntu
  • Version 26.04
  • Device Desktop (8th gen core i7, 32GB ram, AMD 7700XT) KDE
  • chiaki-ng Version AppImage 1.9.9

Additional context
Using the AppImage or a manual (not flatpak or appimage) build (would be happy to provide the steps I had to go through for documentation reasons) you can partially restore functionality

Setting LD_PRELOAD=/home/$USER/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_64/gameoverlayrenderer.so QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb %command% as the launch argument fixes the input issue

I am aware this is Steam's fault, but I thought this might be useful for other users that might be using Chiaki-NG on Desktop via BPM, with a Steam controller, and/or wanting to use other SI features

Hi, I am using Chiaki on windows and I am having this same issue with the new steam controller and steam overlay. I cannot get the back buttons to work. Please can you help me identify the lunch argument for windows version. Many thanks

Setting launch arguments outside of what steam sets to make the program launchable by steam causes it to not load at all, what should the full launch arguments look like?
