Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
I have 1 specific game that I have extensively tested:
Dragon Quest III HD 2D Remake
PPSA20611
I load up a save.
Create or overwrite an existing save.
Leave game
Manually close
Wait for backup message...
Nothing happens
Manually check backup directories (nothing backed up)
Open another game (Fallout 4)
Create or overwrite an existing save.
Leave game
Manually close
Within a few seconds get backup message
Manually check backup directories (save backed up)
Go back in to PPSA20611
Follow the same procedure and get the same results (nothing backed up)
I have been playing this game for the past couple of weeks, saving and closing a few times a day.
Not once has it backed up.
I have also had this issue with PS4 game Dragon Quest Builders CUSA05170 but I have not tested that extensively.
Most games seem to work.

On v1.12 and v1.13 not sure if it was happening before.
PPSA17905 Horizon FOrbidden West also never seems to trigger a backup.
