Summary

Sync xhci_salina.patch with the cleaned Salina xHCI/Bluetooth patch currently carried by bizkut/ps5-linux-patches.

This keeps the standalone driver patch useful as a source/reference patch for the PS5 Salina xHCI path while matching the integrated kernel patch used by the PS5 Linux build.

What changed

  • Replaces the older pseudo-C/debug-heavy patch with a cleaned GPL-2 kernel patch.
  • Adds the PS5 Salina xHCI glue/PHY driver.
  • Maps PCI BARs dynamically instead of relying on hard-coded mappings.
  • Defers Salina PHY init until SPCIE is initialized, and retries when PHY init times out.
  • Adds Salina reset and event-poller lifecycle hooks.
  • Exposes xhci_handle_events() through xhci-ring.h.
  • Adds a bounded Salina event-ring stuck guard.
  • Adds the explicit PS5 Salina xHCI PCI ID.
  • Raises the xHCI RExit timeout for PS5 timing behavior.
  • Adds IW620 Bluetooth quirks used by the PS5 internal Bluetooth path.

Provenance

The final standalone patch was derived from the kernel patch delta between upstream ps5-linux/ps5-linux-patches and bizkut/ps5-linux-patches bluetooth-fix.

The resulting xhci_salina.patch matches the appended Salina/Bluetooth section of linux.patch byte-for-byte.

Validation

  • Confirmed the fork branch is clean before opening the PR.
  • Confirmed the final standalone patch byte-for-byte matches the Salina/Bluetooth section extracted from linux.patch.
  • The same patch is used by the PS5 Linux kernel build flow.

I did not run git apply --check here because this local workspace does not contain a clean Linux kernel checkout.

I'll add the btusb to my code.

The rest of the code is going to be refactored.
