Description

adapterCount isn't used on __APPLE__, doesn't have to be defined

Motivation and Context

Compiler complained about unused code

How Has This Been Tested?

Checked that it wasn't used anywhere else and successfully compiled on macOS.

Code cleanup (non-breaking change which makes code smaller or more readable)
