Delete branch "host-gcc-string-macro"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
I have a project where I'm linking some code to the pico stdlib with
PICO_PLATFORM=host(for host-based unit testing). Without this change, I get errors like the following:The fact that
__STRINGis only defined in the#elseclause of an#ifndef _MSC_VERblock seems like it's obviously a bug to me, but I'm a bit confused since I can't be the only one building for host with gcc?Yeah, i haven't compiled
hostexcept on Linux/Pi or macOS. so maybe it should be a WIN32 check (weird that gcc on mingw wouldn't be the same though).
